Krea 3, Krea 2 and the Krea models

Krea makes a creative app and its own image models. Three are live on fal in October 2026: Krea 3, the 15 October release built for editing as well as generation at native 2K, and the Krea 2 Medium and Large tiers, which keep the creativity and style-reference controls Krea 3 does not have yet. Each runs our image prompts; only Krea 3 has an edit endpoint.

VersionReleasedWhat changed
Krea 2 Medium
krea/v2/medium/text-to-image
Date not verifiedKrea 2 Medium is the smaller hosted Krea 2 image model. It exposes creativity and style-reference controls for art direction. Style references guide appearance; they are not a targeted image-editing endpoint.
Krea 2 Large
krea/v2/large/text-to-image
Date not verifiedKrea 2 Large is the higher-priced hosted Krea 2 image model. The same creativity, aspect-ratio and style-reference controls are available on Medium, so the useful question is whether a particular image benefits from Large.
Krea 3
krea/v3/text-to-image
Editing and generation in one model at native 1K or 2K, berry and jam variants, reasoning levels for edits; $0.025 a megapixel on fal. No style references or LoRAs yet.

Frequently asked questions

Are these vendor demonstration images?

No. The linked model pages show our recorded requests and the files returned, with failures retained and costs identified as published-rate estimates.

What changed in Krea 3?

It edits as well as generates, renders natively at 2K and follows prompts more literally than Krea 2 did on our tests. It does not yet support Krea 2's style references or LoRAs.
