Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.0 Mini and Seedance 2.5
Seedance is ByteDance's video model family, the engine behind Dreamina and Jimeng and the model that made the biggest noise of 2026. Two are live on fal in September 2026: Seedance 2.0, the February release with native audio and up to 15 seconds, and Seedance 2.5, the July release that stretches to 30 seconds in one shot. Seedance 2.0 Mini, a half-price 720p tier of 2.0, joined the roster on 22 October. Each has its own page with the same nine clips. Seedance 2.5 also has separate 20- and 30-second workflow tests from September 18; those do not replace the shared short-shot benchmark.

Is Seedance free?
In Dreamina and ByteDance's China apps, with daily credits. The API, through BytePlus, Volcano Engine and hosts like fal, is paid by the token.
Is Seedance Chinese?
Yes. It is made by ByteDance's Seed team, the TikTok parent's AI lab, and served internationally through BytePlus and third-party hosts.
Can I run Seedance in the US?
Yes. Since mid-September 2026 fal serves both versions from US infrastructure under bytedance/seedance-2.0/us and bytedance/seedance-2.5/us, at the standard endpoints' price per token since 00:00 UTC on 1 November 2026 (a fifth more before). 2.0 US goes up to 4K and 2.5 US up to 1080p.
